Cal for Papers: Values in History, Social Sciences and Human Geography Education – Challenges for schools and teacher education

Contributions may be contemporary or historically oriented or geographically situated. Contributions might for instance focus on individualism vs collectivism, societal or group values on gender or sexuality or values related to distinctions or relations between social groups and categories. Abstracts on conference contributions must be submitted by November 25th 2023.

Call for Abstracts: ”The European Union pro and con campaigns in 1990s Nordic countries: Experiences and the politics of emotions”

This special issue is dedicated to the comparison of the Nordic experiences of European integration in the early 1990s. We are particularly interested in exploring the experiences and the politics of emotions in the EU referenda campaigns and the public discussions, and debates on European and local identities in the Nordic countries.

On 8–11 August 2022 the 30th Congress of Nordic Historians will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main theme is ‘Global and local’ and the keynote speakers are Professor Maya Jasanoff, Harvard University (USA) and Professor Poul Holm, Trinity College Dublin (Ireland).
